Making Simple Photo Edits with Picasa

Easy Color Fix with PicasaDo you have  poorly exposed photos that you’d like to use for a letter or blog post? Do the faces of your discipleship group look blue because of reflected light from the walls? You might like to try Picasa to make some easy fixes to your pictures.

I’ve been using Picasa for years to:

  • locate photos by face and date
  • find photos on my computer
  • edit them quickly and easily
  • create online web album slideshows to share
  • create photo collages

Picasa is a free, easy-to use simple editor and organizer. It syncs with Google+ and you can even use Picasa for an auto backup of photos (as you take them) on your phone’s camera.

I created this short video to show you how to remove a bluish or yellowish cast from your photo. (I also mention a few other things you can do with Picasa.)  This photo of our grandson was yellowish. Watch the video to learn a fast way to restore the true color.
