God’s Plan for Marc’s Day of Prayer


Last April, I started preparing my heart for the Day of Prayer, reflecting on the goodness and majesty of God. Almost immediately, the Lord laid it on my heart to ask for prayer requests from our donor team. I put together a short explanation of the Day of Prayer and included an invitation for them to send us their prayer requests.

God then lead me to include others. I re-wrote the letter for this group to re-introduce myself and let them know we would be honored to pray for them on the global day of prayer. I pulled out business cards from people I’d met briefly at ball games, the eMail address of my son’s scoutmaster, and others. I collected all these possible names, not knowing if the eMail addresses were correct or whether they would remember me. I was also sure that many of these people were not necessarily Christians. I sent about 180 eMails out on Monday morning.

3 Reasons Why You Need a Reader


Are you drowning in a sea of information that is the internet? Would you like to follow some sites regularly, but it would be just one more thing to do? For either question, a reader may be the answer for you. (I’m referring to web-based aggregators, not e-readers for e-books like Kindle or Nook.) If you don’t have a reader, then I hope by the end of this series, you’ll know some effective ways to follow content on the internet and whether a reader would help and also have some creative ideas to consider.
If you only like to read occasionally you might just use the bookmarks in your browser and not bother with a reader. Another option is an extension for the Mozilla Firefox browser called Read It Later. Read more…
