Well, no, this isn’t a modern art piece. It’s a visualization of geo-tagged Flickr photos taken in London.
The blue shows where the locals took pictures, the red indicates tourists’ photos and the yellow could not be determined. A “tourist” posts photos in a short time span only and a “local” posts pictures over a longer time period.
So, if you want to visit the “real” London and meet her people, visit the blue areas. The original image also has notes from Flickr users, so if you move your cursor over the map, the notes will tell you where the photos were taken, such as Putney Bridge and Hampstead Heath.
