If you are on Campus Crusade for Christ staff, I am sure you know that you have a “free website” on Campus Crusade’s Online Giving site. Enter your name or account number to see what your free giving page looks like.
If you have not done anything with this page, I encourage you to take a few minutes to post a current photo, an introduction to your ministry, and a link to your ministry website, if you have one. This is an opportunity for you to make a good first impression. More and more ministry partners are giving online.
Here’s how you can get started:
You might consider an action photo that shows you doing ministry. Keep your introduction relatively brief, but a short changed-life story from your ministry might be a great added touch. You could have a link to the story, but that will take the donor away from the giving site, so you will have to decide if you want to do that.
Follow these steps:
- Sign in to the Staff Web with your GCX account.
- Go to Staff Services.
- Click on “MPD” in the upper right (after “Benefits”).
- On the next page, click on the option Your Personal “Give Webpage” Maintenance.
- If you are on a public computer, don’t forget to log out of GCX when you are finished.
Everything you need to know to upload a photo and format a bullet list, hyperlinks, bold font, and italics is explained for you. You will also find instructions for national staff and for staff in secure countries.
Check back every year or so to make sure your site is up-to-date. I recently updated our page because the photo was old, half of the links did not work, and our jobs had changed.
